BREATHWORK

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a breathing technique called conscious connected breathing (CCB)
“Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Conscious connected breathing

Breathworks :: Breathe Learn Live

It is one of the most powerful, self-generated, transformational tools we have to access our own essence and potential.  Conscious connected breathing brings awareness into your breath by consciously connecting the inhale and the exhale and creating a breath cycle that by passes the body-brain system to unlock and release stored energy at the body’s cellular level.

Breathwork seeks to bring about a deeper connection and understanding of your Self, to bring about being fully aware, fully alive and freedom from the emotions, fears and self-sabotaging patterns that have been limiting you up to now.

Continual conscious connected breathing over a Breathwork session energises the body and may bring old memories, feelings and physical tension into awareness.  This provides an opportunity to release the unwanted energy and clear unresolved issues, limiting beliefs and past events in our lives that are standing in the way of us reaching our potential.

Each of us has an incredible ability, through Breathwork, to unlock a powerful self-healing process for personal transformation. Breathwork sessions provide an opportunity to activate the natural healing process we all have.

I have been continuously amazed by the depth of insights and shifts occurring since beginning Breathwork.
I have been working on myself for nearly 30 years now and I would have to say Breathwork has been one of the most effective, in terms of in depth connection and release.

How can Breathwork help you?

Breathwork helps you connect to your body and go to the core of the issues that present themselves to you every day. Breathwork could be for you if you are feeling:
  • stressed and anxious all the time?
  • overwhelmed with life?
  • a sense of somehow being incomplete; that something is 'missing'
  • of numbness or flatness; of just going through the motions
  • of hopelessness, apathy and indifference; like a spark is missing
  • a sense of being disconnected from life or what is around you; as if you are living in a dream
  • feeling lost, indecisive and aimless
  • procrastination; time wasting; or finding it hard to sustain focus or effort
  • a lack of confidence and self-belief
  • of having a strong inner critic who puts you down and is always on your back
  • phobias and anxieties; fearfulness
  • addictions or other compulsive behaviours and/or thought patterns
  • a sense of never having really recovered from a past event
  • repeatedly returning to a person, location or behaviour that is unhealthy for you
  • inability to move on from an issue or event, despite efforts to do so
  • finding it hard to (re)invest in the future with enthusiasm and optimism
  • of grief, fear, anger or rage that you cannot seem to shake off

How your past can derail your present - A Breathwork Case Study

Download this Breathwork Case Study of a woman who was experiencing panic attacks and breathlessness in early 2020 and inside of a Breathwork Session accessed a trauma that almost took her life 60 years ago as a 5 year old.
Through a gentle and safe process using her breath she was able to process the emotions, gain the insights and free herself from the hold this incident had over her present and future.

Life is an accumulation of experiences that range from pure joy to absolute trauma.  Along the way we often hold back emotion, or suppress and swallow it because we have to get out there on a daily basis and be brave and face the world.

How often have you had people say "Just get on with life", "suck it up", "tell someone who cares"?

Suppressing emotion might get you through the next moment and make you look strong for your family right now, but over time this magnifies and results in you being really out of balance and no help to anyone.

You have four bodies: physical body, emotional body, mental body, and spiritual body. As you go through life these bodies can get out of balance and manifest as aches and pains, anxiety and unwanted emotions, negative thought patterns and beliefs, and being disconnected to your Self and your essence.

The Breathwork process has the ability to change your life.

Our breathing increases the flow of our life force energy (known as prana, or chi) through the body and Breathwork uses the conscious connected breath to bring into balance our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

When you are ready to face your past, present and future, and enter into this process, the changes can be transformational.  By gaining an understanding or your own personal patterns, self-sabotaging beliefs, and fears you can change what you get in life through a changed perspective, better choices, easier and improved decisions and better behaviours.
By far one of the most profound healing experiences I have ever had. I gained so much clarity and wisdom around a particular event in my life that I was able to process and forgive myself for. I had no idea my body was holding on to that. The experience put me in touch with the intelligence of my own body, which was profound.  I couldn’t recommend Jenny’s session more strongly
